Snape is the bomb. Why? Because he is the character that you expect to hate and end up loving because he is so the bomb. I love surprising characters, and the first time I read HBP and DH, I was definitely surprised to learn so much about Snape that made me change the way I felt about him as a character.

Luckily for me, it's a three day weekend, and I have been taking full advantage. I don't have to work my other, part-time, job, so it's been nice to do what I want, when I want, and spend a lot of extra time with the dogs, too. Hope your weekends are just as nice!

I actually didn't fully forgive him until the 2nd part of the 7th book came out on film. How insane is that? I guess Alan Rickman just did such a superb job and Snape and I finally got over how mean he was to Harry (even though I GUESS he had to be).
ReplyDeleteI don't have a lot of love for Snape. He was cruel to a lot of people for no reason. He changed sides not because he realised that Voldemort was cruel and evil and that he could save hundreds of lives, but to try to save the woman he loved, and only her. He had no hestitation in selling out the boy the prophecy referred to, and only regretted it when he realised Lily was in danger. He could've chosen to see Lily in Harry, but he chose to see James. I'm sure part of that was the act, but I'm not sold on the idea that he didn't enjoy being vindictive to Harry.
ReplyDeletei gotta admit i really did love his character. alan rickman did a superb job because most hated him right up until the very end.
