DIY: Apartment Edition & Monday
First of all, I would just like to point out that I realize this blog has absolutely no organization or schedule. But neither does my life. I hate having to do things. I hate having deadlines. I prefer to do it when I feel like it. And it's my blog so that is what I am going to do! :)
Today was actually a GREAT day. I had a really, really hard week at school last week, and I was really dreading going back after a three day weekend, but it was actually a good day. I got a lot accomplished, the kids were good, and we got a lot done together.
That said, here's this week's apartment DIY!
Today was actually a GREAT day. I had a really, really hard week at school last week, and I was really dreading going back after a three day weekend, but it was actually a good day. I got a lot accomplished, the kids were good, and we got a lot done together.
That said, here's this week's apartment DIY!
1. Holiday themed letters. Since I have a roommate, this might only work if we have
two of them. And if they are on our bedroom doors. Juvenile? Maybe. Awesome? DEFINITELY.
(I really only picked this because it's red, by the way.)
2. HELLO?? How easy would these be to find at the thrift store?? Doing this. Seriously.
I have been looking for a second night stand for my bedroom for ages, and have just
recently resigned myself to the fact that I won't find one that matches the one I already have.
3. I could probably do without the chalk part of the chalkboard dresser, but I love, love, love this flat, coral-y red.
4. I mean, really. How much easier could this get??? (Also, prettier??)
5. While I would totally love to DIY myself this couch... unrealistic. However,
Also, check out my mom. She sings and this is her. <3 <3 <3

Music Tuesday
I am annoyed that today is Tuesday because it feels like Wednesday and it's a four day week!
Here is the music I am obsessed with, lately. Enjoy!! <3 <3

My [Instagram] Week
I am seriously obsessed with this app. I use it all the time. It totally keeps me occupied on lunch breaks and during my plan bell when I am avoiding the mounding heap of tests and article summaries that need grading.
my classroom decorations / Ellaphant / morning coffee in my favorite mug / cuddling puppies /
TJ Maxx? Has owl stuff. / spent last Saturday reading by candlelight / thrifted canvas /
my first go at leg warmers [love.] / Disney on Ice / Cincinnati & Northern KY /
little sister / desk draw (see above) / Handsome Guillermo / silly Ella, pooped Giullermo /
pretty tree / Cat.

How was your week? Mine was stressful, and also kind of lame. We had our second session of conferences, on Thursday night and professional development ALLLLL day on Wednesday. It was boring and conferences made for a 13 hour day. Needless to say, I was crabby and tired. I went to bed at or before 10 pm every single night.
School is going really well. Although, with each passing week I am becoming more and more cynical. At the beginning of the school year, they told us that if the district's levy doesn't pass, they'd have to cut 43 jobs in the district. I'm not hopeful. I'm thankful that I have a year of experience because of it, but applying for jobs was so incredibly time consuming and discouraging. I really don't want to deal with that again. I'll know for sure what my plan of action will have to be sometime next week, I suppose. Wish me luck!!
In other news, this weekend is going to be pretty fun! Last night, Nick and I went grocery shopping, drank sparkling grape juice, and played Lego Harry Potter. We're gearing up for Years 5-7, which comes out next week. YAY! Today, I am going shopping with my mom for a new pillow top for my mattress. Tonight, I am going to see a play put on by my former high school, and dinner with my best friend. I can't wait :)
Happy Saturday, everyone!!

Handsome Boy.
Just look at this face.
His birthday is coming up. I can't wait to take him
shopping and let him pick out a toy all of his own.
Love this little guy. <3 <3
