Femmena Mala: Meet one of my best friends.

I wanted to take a moment to write a post dedicated to one of my very best, best friends. I don't know that I have ever connected SO well with anyone else, in the way that I have with Nicole.

As some of you know, I worked at Cost Plus World Market for three years, until our location closed almost two years ago. Nicole began working there about one week after I did, as a supervisor. I was instructed to train her, as a lowly cashier, on how to work the register. I was pretty nervous, but immediately relaxed as soon as I met her. Want to know why? The first thing she said to me was: "You're wearing Chuck Taylors. We're going to be best friends." And you know what? We were. And we still are.

I don't think that I am more alike any one of my other friends than I am Nicole, and it's so awesome to have that type of person in my life. And, if you don't remember, she just happens to be the one who introduced me to that fancy boy who turned out to be the love of my life. She's THAT GOOD of a friend ;)

After CPWM closed, she moved to Dayton with her now fiance, and shortly after, had a baby. Then she moved back to Cincinnati, playing with my heart and emotions. ;) Not too long after, she moved back to Buffalo, her hometown, to live near her family with her almost-husband and beautiful baby girl, Cecelia.

Anyways, we have known each other for about five years now, and we are still THISCLOSE. I love, love, love her, and she loves me back. Who could ask for more? The answer to that question is ME. I would love to actually SEE her in person, so after I graduate, and while she is on break from her job at an elementary school, I AM GOING TO SEE HER! I'll be driving the six hours to Buffalo to spend three days with Nicole and her lovely little lady, and her awesome, awesome fiance. Also, did I mention she has a pug? A girl after my own heart.
