Tea Time Saturday :)

Before I get started telling you all what I love about tea and about a ton of the flavors that I enjoy, and also a few of my favorite mugs, I want everyone to know that this is a collaborative post that I am taking part in with Morgan, over at Blackbird Fly! She is featuring her mug collection while I am accompanying it with, obviously, tea! Hope you all enjoy. Please stop by and check her out! <3

Without further ado...

Tea has always held a special place in my heart. Since I was little, my mom always had a pitcher of fresh brewed iced tea in the refrigerator and still does, on occasion. She always coupled late night movie watching with hot, milk + sugared Lipton tea in a mug. I have continued to love this and it has grown exponentially in my life. I now collect every delicious type of tea that I come across if it sounds the least bit enticing to me. So, friends, I have compiled this list for you, of pictures and memories of my favorite teas. Beginning with…. The Republic of Tea teas! These are one of my favorite lines of tea, I might even veture to say that they are my most favorite. I probably own about twenty different tins of these, and they are the first tea on my list whenever I visit Panera bread in search for a cup of steamy goodness.

My first favorite of this delicious variety is Ginseng Peppermint. It basically reminds me of Christmastime when I used to spend entire days and nights at a local coffee shop. It's perfect for sore throats and colds. Yum!

Next up is the infamous The Republic of Tea: Be Well Red Tea line. I have owned each and every one of these at one point in time, but my most prized right now are the "get lost," "get some zzz's," and "get charged." The packaging for these tins are what drew me to them to begin with when perusing the The Republic of Tea section at World Market. They are all so delicious and mysterious.

They each have specific purposes. The "get charged" tin is for those early mornings when you just can't seem to wake up; it's filled with Eleuthero, Chinese ginseng, and Ashwagandha, also perfect for late nights when paper writing is oh-so-daunting. The "get lost" is filled with amazing tropical banaba leaf, cinnamon and carob. It's said to promote weight control by curing sweet cravings, leaving out the caffeine that so many "weight-loss" drinks include. Finally, the "get some zzz's" tin includes organic rooibos, soothing chamomile, passionflower and properties of valerian. Perfect for nights when getting to bed early is vital for a properly functioning body the next morning without yucky hangover symptoms that come along with sleeping aids.

Mango Ceylon. It's summery and fruity and fun. So delicious. By far one of the best of the The Republic of Tea line.

Chamomile Lemon is another one of those comforting, soothing teas that are perfect for late nights that are accompanied by stuffy noses and sore throats. Definitely one of my favorites, and the first thing I offer to Nick or anyone else when they are feeling under the weather.

Last but not least, Tazo Awake Black Tea. This stuff is my life blood. I have a cup of it every single morning, and it sometimes is the only thing that gets me through the first two bells at school. I have talked it up to numerous people, keep emergency pouches of it in my desk drawer at school, and given away a few to try to my colleagues who have fallen under the Mountain-Dew-at-six-in-the-morning-for-energy spell. Just trying to do my part :)

Last but not least, I want to share with you my very favorite mug! I found this little beauty at TJ MAXX for about five dollars, and there are plates that match it that I haven't quite gotten to snatch up yet. You all may have seen this one in past posts, but it seriously is my personality in mug form.

This second mug is one I scooped off of the clearance table at Kroger for only $1. It is my second favorite mug, and so cute. Can you tell I love red? **Bonus picture of Guillermo on the hutch in our kitchen ;) Please excuse the crumbs.

That's all for today, folks. I hope I have inspired you to try some of my favorite teas, if not for their wonderfully positive health aspects, then for their yummy delicious flavor! Don't forget to check out Morgan's mug post!! Love you all!

xoxo
Stephanie

  7. So...I was browsing around World Market today, because I adore that store, and came across the Be Well Read tea line. Oh my goodness, they are cool. I wanted to buy them all, but spending $100 on tea isn't really in my budget, so I just bought one. Get Gorgeous. Thanks for the good tea find. =]
