Pretty, pretty new look.

If you guys are reading this via a reader, you'll want to hop on over and check out the AMAZING makeover that Kate from Kate's Irrelevant. did for my blog. I think my favorite part about this design is the stitching and all of the personal touches that she added in. So sweet!!! She is an amazing artist and I could NOT be happier with the result. Happy birthday to me!

Today is my 23rd birthday! I'll be off shopping, hanging out with my family, and having dinner with friends today. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!

Birthday wish list.

Next weekend is my [23rd] birthday. Woo! I love birthdays. It's such a good excuse to have one whole day completely how you want it. Luckily, mine's on a Saturday this year, so everyone I want to be there (mostly) is off work and can make it to the celebration.

I'm being pretty boring this year. Most of this stuff (the pants and shoes and gift card) is my being practical about comfy clothing options for teaching. Apparently, the dress code is pretty lax at my new school, so I am just looking for functionality and comfort. Everything else is just purely indulgence. :) 

Speaking of my new school... Here are some [pretty crappy] pictures of my room that I took when I went to drop off some supplies earlier yesterday. I went in thinking that I could start moving in and decorating, but when I got there, I found out that a) the teacher(s) from last year haven't moved anything out and b) I think I'll be sharing the room with someone? (Boo.)

The room is really nice. As you can tell, it's really big! I have so many resources available to me. These kids don't know how lucky they are!!  I cannot wait to start making it my own.
